ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Artist and writer Erica Scales is best known for her colorful coastal living paintings. Born in New Orleans and raised in Statesboro, Georgia, she has spent most of her adult life in Savannah. She graduated from Georgia Southern University as an Art Major and through some twists and turns along the way, she also completed a Masters in Speech Language Pathology. So, when she's not being a licensed SLP, she's usually drawing, coloring, writing, or painting.
“Pieces of Savannah” has been a passion-project that began after an eye opening (and disconcerting) exchange with a wandering tourist whom she couldn’t direct to a local landmark.
Realizing how much she did not know about the place she has called home for over thirty years, Erica decided to become a tourist herself in her own city. This coloring book is her tribute to the historic district’s beauty and a gift to anyone lucky enough to experience the iconic jewels which make her hometown so unique.
She dearly hopes you enjoy exploring, learning and coloring all the Pieces of Savannah!
